Getting up earlier

I went to bed at about 4AM last night and woke up today at 10AM. I'd taken a big piece of equipment apart that took just hours.

I'm pretty happy because with this latest pay check, I made a savings goal for this year for myself that had started to form and then it was, Can I make it? And then, This will be pretty easy.

It's amazing how much I can save when I'm not spending it on alcohol. Even decades ago, when I was a relatively light drinker, that $4 6-pack of cheap beer or $3 for a pint bottle of Guinness must have really added up.

I packed 11 things and took them to the post office and FedEx, and picked up some packing stuff on the way back, and what I figure are $200 worth of new computer/tablet cases from the "bountiful" dumpster. I think someone else is going through there and snagging the good stuff but they don't know everything.

Some of the people in the building here, the welding place and the place down on the end that works on RVs or something, have combined forces and are holding a big Christmas party. They've actually got the end of the parking lot blocked off and full of vehicles, set up a big tent, and even had a couple of porta-potties delivered. Since it's going to rain all weekend my plan is to stay in.

The once and future cornet

The reason I dug the Connstellation out and replaced the errant screw and put in new water key corks is that last week I'd gone by Park...
