87th day sober. I got a practice in last night and my little exercise is helping right away. The higher notes are getting easier and clearer. I went to bed after this, at about 7AM and was up at 3.
I had some coffee etc and packed all the things except one thing that I can't find. Got those taken up to the post office and FedEx. There was a brush fire North of Brokaw Road by a fair amount, that made a plume of smoke that, interestingly, went up into the sky, arching over where I was for the most part, then down again and concentrating for its plod towards downtown. According to Reddit it was bad in Japantown.
Of course at the post office that chute was jammed. They really should just have someone who's there where the chute it, and takes in peoples' packages. And for some reason the post office was busy, with lots of people bringing in packages.
I found some "cuties" little oranges being tossed out behind H Mart because a couple in the package had gotten squashed, but the rest were fine. I found a bunch of useful boxes behind the drone place, and ended up not only gathering those up but really cleaning and and organizing the area.
I stopped by Tom's to drop off the oranges, and the side gate was open, the back part open with the light on, etc. I wandered all over and called for Tom, rang the Ring doorbell, etc. Finally I got a bit worried and went in where he actually lives and opened the door and saw he was passed out on his bed. And I mean really passed out if he hadn't heard all my banging around. So I locked up the side yard and made sure the place was secure, and took off. He's got some test coming up at work and maybe he's nervous about it and hit the alcohol kind of hard. I'll check on him again tomorrow I guess.
When I got back here I called Ken and asked him if he could come over tonight to help me look for this one "lost" thing and he wanted to come over for a bunch of reasons anyway. I packed this Really Fucking Heavy(tm) signal generator that sold, Ken stood by while I looked One Last Place(tm) and found the thing and packed it, Ken wrote out my check and brought by some mail for me from the IRS.
The good news is they "only" want $824 this time. The bad news is, it seems to be penalties from late filing my 2019's. I don't think I'll have penalties for my 2020's but I'm still convinced I didn't work them out right and owe them more than I paid them.
At least at the rate I've been saving, I can cover this with no problem. $824 is basically 4 weeks' savings.
