A much-needed haircut

61st day sober. I was up around 2 which is amazing since I didn't go to bed until 7:30AM or so. Watched a lot of The Winds Of War, didn't practice.

I treated myself to a much-needed haircut and a bath, and rode downtown. The wind felt really nice, with my hair nice and short and being clean.

My first stop was the post office. There was a guy sitting on the steps with a bike and a few odds and ends near him, cussing up a storm in English and Spanish. There was a gal (I think, their back was to me) on a mobility scooter who I was not sure was taking part in the "conversation". I locked up the bike and got my packages together, and handed my water bottle, almost full, to the guy - "Here's the last of my water" I said and he said thanks. I dropped off the packages and rode off, thinking, I'd probably be cussing too if I were in his situation, just with the heat. Who knows what else the guy has going on.

I went to the bank and made my deposit. I'm about $180 up from last week. That's about how it should be. I need to come up with some sort of a schedule for busking that fits in with my keeping really prompt with Ebay shipping and listings so I can save like crazy.

My next stop was Dai Thanh where I bought some odds and ends and then Da Kao where I got a $5 plate of pork and veggies on rice noodles and went over to the college campus to eat it.

Next was Amazon where I only got two bubble mailers and that's including the one that my package came in - 4 tubes of Blistex "Deep Renewal" lip balm which I've decided is my favorite right now, and which I can't find locally any more.

Next was Nijiya where I did a big shopping trip and then rode back here. I spent about $80 today. This is the second week now of my avoiding restaurant foods with the exception of one meal as a treat on the day I deposit my pay check.
