55th day sober. Up at 2:45 or so. I had coffee and pills and nuts and seeds and packed 9 things to take with me to the post office. Some heavy stuff can go over the weekend as FedEx is open on weekends.
After my drop-offs at the post office I went to 99 Ranch for some shopping but first got a couple of tea eggs and this little custard tart for $4. Tea eggs used to be $1.50 for two, but now they're 2 for $2 and the tart was $2. The tart was really good while the tea eggs were ... tea eggs.
I did some shopping and looked for some kind of wide-mouth bottle that holds a liter. There wasn't anything there though.
I went to H Mart next and got a few other things, and found a neat glass pitcher that holds a liter and a half and is perfect. The idea is, I discovered a good-tasting brand of Japanese barley tea at Nijiya that you brew a quart at a time, by putting a bag in a quart of water and just setting it in the fridge. Or, my little secret is, room temperature works fine too. The bags are big though, so I needed something with a wide mouth. When the barley tea's finished I can pour it into a regular water bottle with a small mouth, and keep it in the fridge.
I checked Tom's place on the way back and the big truck trailer wasn't there and neither was another trailer that pretty much lives there. That doesn't tell me if Joel, the guy who rents the back, is leaving or piling more crap in but at least I saw no signs of anyone trying to break in.
