What else is there to do on a weekend...

But sleep? It's cold out there, I'm not up to busking yet, and if I don't go out, I don't spend money.

I did my practice last night and am moving up another page. There's a piece called "Rustic Dance" that's next and it seems tricky but I'll keep working on it. Plus there are two more low notes to learn. Since I'm practicing everything as written and then an octave up, I'm actually practicing over a fair range.

On the radio there's a piece where they're interviewing a mother whose son, 11 years old or so, Black of course, was killed by the sheriffs. I kind of remember the case (it happened some years ago) but the internet knows nothing. According to the internet, it never happened. We're not quite to the point where Google has a "Google doodle" in honor of Kyle Rittenhouse Day, but we're getting there.

Today I packed  25 things which is a lot of things. It really felt like Monday because I was doing so much work but it's a Sunday. Best thought of as a "school night" as, it's best to pack things and have 'em all ready to go the next day. There are always things that sell over the weekend but with what's effectively a 4-day weekend, there should be lots of packages.

The forecast is for rain starting Wednesday or Thursday so I may not even get to the bank this week. It's good we're getting rain but like all good things it does complicate things a little.

The once and future cornet

The reason I dug the Connstellation out and replaced the errant screw and put in new water key corks is that last week I'd gone by Park...
