Some kind of record

I woke up at 10 or 11, and, deciding I'd only gone to bed around 6AM, I should get more sleep. I didn't really go back to sleep, I don't think, but after a while looked at the clock again and it was 2.

It was also dry, as the weather report had promised. Rain by 4, was the prediction, though, so I had to get going. I must have set some kind of record because I had a bunch of things packed by 3:30, including one big 60-lb "ugly bugly". I pumped up the bike trailer tires and loaded everything up and went to FedEx first, to shed a lot of weight and also, the smaller stuff is all effectively waterproof.

After the drop-offs I went as I'd planned down Oakland Road to Jackson and to Japantown. Since I had the trailer and thus a lot of carrying capacity, I figured I'd get two of the big boxes of watery beer that's on sale. Plus groceries.

I got to Nijiya and the big boxes of beer were not on sale, but I still got two of the things, because it's the same price I'd pay at H Mart anyway. And stuff like eggs and peppers and a "holiday" chicken leg because "breakfast" had just been a mug of black coffee and some roast peanuts. It looked like it was about to rain and I was glad I'd beaten it. When I got back here I realized I'd only been out an hour and a half, which is really quick work. I looked at the weather report and it was predicting rain all right, by 4AM.

Heavy, man.

Last night I got the Connstellation cornet out and put the screw for the 1st valve trigger back on, and installed new water key corks too. ...
