Beef'n'dandies

Up at 2. I'd gotten a good practice in last night, and had beef with the dandelion leaves I'd picked in the park last night. They were bitter, even after boiling first then sauteeing, but they're a very dark green vegetable and probably good health-wise.

I remember when I was more involved in ham radio, being up on the mountain overlooking Stanford University, some radio stuff with some guys, and one guy was a survivor of the Yugoslav war, and he had this antenna that was just a piece of pale blue wire, that he'd used over there to make all kinds of contacts, it was his "old faithful". And he pointed to a dandelion growing in the grass there and said, "If we found this plant, we felt we were so lucky".

I'd gotten more stuff together to make 20 items to list on Ebay, but kind of ran out of gas around 4AM so I put the things aside.

Regarding the practice, I'd been skipping a lot of days and yet, it seems once the "knack" I've learned is learned, it doesn't get forgotten. There is just no problem playing high C's even while just warming up.
