Would you scoff at Biscoff?

136th day sober. I got some Ebay stuff ready, but felt too tired and didn't list it, but I did practice and it went better than the night before. I'm able to hold tones on the high notes longer and I think that's one of the most useful things I can do.

I slept in until 5 again, which is OK as it's not like I had to go to the bank or anything today, and I had the packages all fully packed. So it was just a matter of have coffee and vitamins etc then take off.

I took the post office things to the post office then went over to 99 Ranch for some shopping, then dropped off the FedEx ones on the way back. Good thing the light at Old Oakland Road was red, because if it had been green I'd have kept riding who knows how far back towards here before remembering I had two packages to drop off.

I was going to stop and tell Tom about the ghost kitchen up the road here, which is, in effect, about 6 different take-out places, and is open until either midnight or 2AM depending on the night. There's a little iPad sort of thing for ordering right in there. The pictures of the food look good, whether the food it actually good remains to be seen, but having a place in walking distance is kind of nice.

One of the things I got at 99 Ranch are some Biscoff (biscuit you have with coffee, geddit?) cookies so I can offer one to Ken to try. They're serving these on airplanes now instead of peanuts so in the US, people associate them with air travel, according to an article I recently read. I don't know why they don't just keep serving peanuts, with so many people with peanut allergies. A few people keel over, some die, they all get charged a million dollars for medical costs, lose their houses and jobs, etc. Isn't that the American Way?

I'm waiting to hear election results here. The idea of the 5th or 6th largest economy in the world with a loon like Larry Elder in charge is horrifying. Sure, he'd get voted out in a year in the regular election, but he could do a lot of damage in a year. Including suspend elections or some shit.

The once and future cornet

The reason I dug the Connstellation out and replaced the errant screw and put in new water key corks is that last week I'd gone by Park...
