A mosquito

126th day sober. I got Ebay things listed last night and packed one large thing and a medium thing that have to go by FedEx, but aside from listing the Ebay things I pretty much had no energy and could not get motivated to pack this one oscilloscope that should go to FedEx with the other things.

I woke up at 1:30, but still felt tired and left here a little after 4. I stopped at Nijiya and as usual their bento section was wiped out, so I ended up getting a piece of seared (raw inside) tuna and some crab croquettes and a near-beer. I ate over at the Issei Building and listened to the music being played at some event going on at The Arsenel, an art supply/studio/gallery sort of place that's pretty cool.

I got over to Whole Foods and started playing at a quarter to 6. Things went OK, and it never got cold enough for me to have to put my jacket on. It felt a bit slow, but doesn't it always? People were nice, and since I was playing before it got actually dark, there really weren't any weirdos. One scuzzy looking guy rode through on a crummy bike and that was it.

The most notable "customer" was a mosquito that checked out my trumpet for a bit.  I'm guessing it was a male mosquito, who only eats nectar and was attracted by the shininess of the trumpet.

What's interesting is, lately I've not seen the "Trump Stump", the very short, stout, lady who wears a "Hillary For Prison" T-shirt. On Reddit a short while ago someone posted a photo of a hand-written sign someone had put in their window, all about "Reecall Gabin Newson"  and a bunch of other crazy right-wing shit scrawled on there, so maybe she's been busy making crazy signs.

Tonight's earnings were $62.20 making it $163.55 for the weekend.

The once and future cornet

The reason I dug the Connstellation out and replaced the errant screw and put in new water key corks is that last week I'd gone by Park...
