More mouthpiece trials

123rd day sober. Besides listing Ebay stuff, I got some practice in before bed and tried out my beat-up but now cleaned up Yamaha 11B4 mouthpiece which is their equivalent to a Bach 7C.

It turns out they all work fine, 3C, 3D, and the 7C, and for some reason the high notes were easy for me. I'm going to stick to the 3D for busking for now, and I'm going to give the beat-up Yamaha to Tom.

I packed about 5 large things  and took them to the post office and FedEx,  rode past Tom's place but he had his homeless buddy who lives in a van there, so I'll give him the mouthpiece some time later.

Ken came by at the usual time, and brought by these huge backplanes with all kinds of heavy stuff like big transformers and inductors on them, so we worked on taking stuff off of them outside, and once I had the one I was working on light enough to drag it inside I did, and then Ken and I had our coffee and tea and so on and talked a while. And I got my check of course.

Once Ken had left, I got back to work taking that stupid backplane thing apart, which took a while. That pretty much wiped me out for the evening.

I am really glad I'm doing a steady busking schedule because anything that depends on the internet or even on having to have electricity, is turning into utter shit. The internet is down to half-speed for some reason; this started a few days ago. I can still do my Ebay work and I guess that's what matters, and obviously still post on here, but there's a reason I don't have pictures etc. on here. Just posting plain text is hard enough, and I have to wait for the computer to "catch up" just like in the old 300-baud modem days.

The once and future cornet

The reason I dug the Connstellation out and replaced the errant screw and put in new water key corks is that last week I'd gone by Park...
