Smart people, defined as the ones who voted against Hitler-From-Temu, are slowly, Oh so slowly, realizing that the situation we're in can't be solved by more phone banking, more fundraising, more angry letters. It's happening glacially slowly, but we've used the first two boxes; the soapbox and the ballot box, to no avail. What's left is the ammunition box.
I really hope to be out of here by the time that happens. It has to happen, but I don't want to be here for it. If I were much younger I might feel differently, but I'm close to retiring and fighting in a civil war would be work, a thing I want to avoid now.
Any of the minor stories of the things being done in the Reich now, would be front-page, largest typeface, news. But there's so much being done to destroy this country that it's just one more drop in a waterfall. So it all slides past our glazed-over eyeballs.
