Still weak and shaky

Very weak and shaky. I really should be able to gut it out for the next couple of days and I'll be over the hump with regards to alcohol. I have just about no appetite and have eaten only a few spoonfuls of scrambled eggs so far today.

I did a bunch of reading on alcohol withdrawal, and it all sounds par for the course. The shaking and sweating and lack of appetite. It's often worse on the second or even third day, according to what I read, although

So although I spent most of the day in bed and read the first half of Buddha Vol. 3. Then I got up, very shaky, had a very small amount of sake, tried the eggs, and decided I'd just putter today because by puttering I can actually get a lot done. Never speed up but never slow down.

I put things away and moved things around and got out things that had sold, that I have to ship. I actually found 'em all too. I found some appetite too, and had some macadamia nuts and dried squid. "The more you chew, you will be able to enjoy the finest high quality taste of Squid" - from the back of the package.

This is one of the most productive unproductive days I've had and there's still plenty to do. Take alcohol out of my life and most of Reddit, and I'll have plenty of time for all kinds of things. And practicing the shakuhachi while drunk, just before bed, can't be the most effective way to learn.

When I was growing up I was often a real morning person. I'd get up early to walk the beach and look for stuff, mainly glass floats that had drifted across the ocean from Japan. I'd get up early and be wide awake for high school, and all my early jobs seemed to start early.

Cold and foggy Friday

I woke up around 11, and even around noon it's foggy and dark.  I should mention that "dead internet theory", the theory that...
