Progress? Me?

Last night I had the idea of not doing anything Ebay wise, and just ate fried fish and drank a beer, besides the usual sake, and watched videos on YouTube especially an excellent BBC Panorama biography of Evelyn Waugh.

The idea was to keep my weekend a weekend, like a regular person would do. I did a Voldyne session and shakuhachi practice, and those little 4-note figures are getting easier.

I'm not sure what time I went to bed, but I slept until 2. Maybe it was the lack of pain, as I've found an exercise that really helps. It seemed like the opposite of what exercise I need but it seems to work. No more shoulder brace thing. I'm not pain-free but the pain is way down from where it was.

I feel like I'll never be able to blow like those guys on YouTube who teach shakuhachi, but then they've all been at it for at least 30 years. If I can keep up a steady 1 hour a day I think I can really get places. I'm hoping I can be able to play pieces acceptably by the time this virus thing is over, and can go out and play in public. I don't even care at this point about how much money I might make; just being out there would be enough.

At about 2:30 I went out to the lunch truck. The lady there sells me the breakfasty things for $2 and I got a breakfasty sort of sandwich with eggs, bacon, and sausage in an English muffin for $2 and came back here and ate it with hot sauce.

I got out of here to make a grocery run at a bit after 5. I just went up to H Mart and got on back. I thought there might be interesting activity at Fry's but I just see trucks backed up, I guess to load inventory into. On my way back a gaggle of kids on electric bikes swooped around through there but they just came and went.

I came back here, started a load of laundry (basically pour 4-5 small pails of water into the tall plastic trash can I use, then heat two large pots of water and pour that in, with a Tide pod) and while the water was heating, found some things that needed to get packed before midnight and "staged" them which means putting them in the box etc they'll be shipped in, and printing out the shipping label so as far as Ebay knows they're shipped, and it's really quick to finish them off.

Then a snack: Pate', these "Saya" green bean crisps things, and a small head of Romaine lettuce I'd rescued from the dumpster, and then some fish cake so I guess that was dinner.

Cold and foggy Friday

I woke up around 11, and even around noon it's foggy and dark.  I should mention that "dead internet theory", the theory that...
