Covid party

I was up until I dunno. Did a session on the Voldyne and on the shakuhachi. Consistent practice is the most powerful thing ... and there are so many good teachers on YouTube.

I woke up around 11AM because the cleaning company next door was holding a noisy covid party. Nice of 'em. I did a lot of deep breathing exercises which is a thing I'm doing more and more. Playing the shakuhachi is a very different kind of breathing than playing trumpet.

Among other things I packed 23 things I had staged last night. One is in a huge box; it's some kind of thing for trimming the corners of picture frames or some damn thing. I'd picked it up for free from the FedEx dumpster and I got a lowball offer on it and accepted it to get the thing out of here.

So I got out of here around 6 with the really big box and all but two of the other boxes, it taking me 2 hours to finish them. The drop-offs were uneventful and the chute at the post office even worked without jamming.

Since anything left out today will be waiting for me tomorrow, I came straight back here and dropped off the trailer and went right back out. It was windy which was actually kind of nice. Wind pushing me going one way, wind refreshing me coming back. I got snack foods and sake at H Mart.

I came back and had my cheap Hawaiian beer, some Nong Shim "Shrimp Flavored Chips" only their take on them being much, much more spicy, pork pate, and that was dinner.

I photo'd up the 10 plugins I have to list on Ebay, using the 5000-series mainframe we'd just sold to test one, which is a 5000-series. Oops. So I did the testing/photo'ing then packed up that plugin which was going to be "overdue" if I didn't do so by midnight.

I called Ken to ask him if he'd gotten the email with the packing tape order I want him to do at Uline, and told him about 4/5 of the power supply plugins having problems and he told me to set them aside to him to pick up later and he'll see if he can fix them. I told him I'll set aside any other plugins that have "bad" etc. written on them when I'm at the storage unit too.

The plan for tomorrow is to take the three large boxes I have here to FedEx, then stop by the storage unit and unwrap the other plugins and mainframes so I can get an idea of what we have. And take home 9 small things like ion gauges and so on, to list tomorrow night. After dropping off the trailer and stuff here, to go over to the O'Reilly's on 4th and see about getting one of those buffer things you can use with an electric drill to buff your car. Except I plan to use it to buff the bathroom floor.

Then on Sunday, I really, really, *really* want to go to Daiso. So I'm thinking I'll use that day as my get-away day and go to Daiso and Mitsuwa Marketplace.  I'll get a new cutting board and maybe some tape, maybe a set of chopsticks and a brush pen, and who knows what other cool stuff. Then I'll go to Mitsuwa and get sake and dried seasoned conger eel and who-knows what else, including a really good bento and a beer or maybe a little can of nigori sake.

One thing I want to get somewhere is some finely ground black pepper. I have this theory that it would taste really good mixed in Kewpie mayonnaise. I don't want to use S&B "seasoned" pepper which is really salt, pepper, and MSG, no matter how tasty it is, because Kewpie's already salty enough and has enough MSG.

Cold and foggy Friday

I woke up around 11, and even around noon it's foggy and dark.  I should mention that "dead internet theory", the theory that...
