The Winds Of War

It's probably only fitting that I'm watching, again, "The Winds Of War" on YouTube. It seems like a fantasy-land now, a US with a competent president, a nation united against the Axis threat. Of course it was the Pearl Harbor attack that united the nation, which is funny because Pearl Harbor was 1000s of miles away from almost all Americans, and pales in comparison to 9/11 (civilian target, in a/the major city, more deaths, broadcast in real time).

Old Yamtits' latest genius idea is to sell off public lands in the West to give tax breaks to billionaires, and cut back on Medicaid to ... give tax breaks to billionaires. Ken and I even talked about the cuts to Medicaid part. I can verify that I work at least 80 hours a  month, and my tax records will verify that I'm working. But what about those people who can't work? Under Nazi ideology they're just supposed to die and Reddit is replete with people saying they *will* die without their medications, provided under Medicaid, for things from diabetes to cluster or "suicide" headaches.
