Chores up, sales down

Last night I took a very large box I'd turned into a "tub" years ago, full of small boxes I didn't want, out to the trash enclosure. Finished taking the oscilloscope apart and listed 10 things on Ebay.

Sales are really down. We've sold a diode, a resistor or two, and some little gadget I accepted an offer of $5 for. Whee. But our sales number looks good, and Ken is the most un-worried boss I've ever had.

I cleared enough space to do another narrow strip upstairs but in the end just put that 3rd coat on the strip that needed it and called it a night.

I did about an hour messing around on the shinobue. I wish I could remember what I'd been doing on the flute, all those years ago. I seem to remember being out there busking pretty soon after picking the thing up, and while not making tons of money I was making some.

Internet is getting slower and slower, and less reliable. It now takes days, not minutes, to download updates.

I'm emailing back and forth with my friend back in Hawaii. He's got covid, plus a ton of other health problems. I'm not sure if I'll ever tell him it's because he's vegetarian. Stories abound of people who "went veg" and it fucked them up, and they only got back to healthy once they stopped restricting their diet like that. I have a secret theory that a lot of "vegetarian" groups like in Asia cheat a little, eat things that are super-fermented or otherwise not things any Westerner would eat, and do things like eat ze bugs.

Once it was late enough I went out to dump some trash, then went over to the bountiful dumpster and got maybe one good thing and some packing foam, plus picked up some large sheets of cardboard from next door. Then after dropping that stuff off, took my box of stuff I'd put out last night and picked up things around the parking lot to put in there too, and dumped it by the bridge.

Cold and foggy Friday

I woke up around 11, and even around noon it's foggy and dark.  I should mention that "dead internet theory", the theory that...
