Probably not leaving early

Last night I told Dave on Oahu what Pat on the big island and I have been thinking, that I ought to get over there to be a helper ASAP, and that Dave should be able to provide me a room to live in.

Dave replied with a long email about his struggles to live alone, his sister putting him in an adult care home and his escape from there. I replied that between two houses and a condo, maybe he could live in one, I could live in another one, and we could work on selling the third. I don't think this is going to fly with him at all.

So Dave's got his whole "Oh woe is me" future laid out and he's determined to follow it. The guy who owned the place in Gilroy I lived at was like that. He was a hoarder, and on the surface of things sounded like he wanted help with things but he really didn't. He *liked* things to be miserable.

I got going at about 3:30, went by the temple to drop off my pledge money, then went to the bank and did my bank stuff, Then, since it was a warm day, I parked the bike at Whole Foods, got some buffet food and an Anchor Steam beer (a bit under 5%) and then walked over to Target.

Somehow I managed to screw that up and turned a street early, so I walked on the bike path which you have to these days anyway, and managed to get through the large concentration of bums everyone on Reddit was talking about, and got to the shopping center.

First I got some tea, sardines, and a salami slices thing at Cost Plus World Market. Then all I got at Target was a couple of rolls of Scotch tape refills.

The walk back was cooler. I rode over to the Amazon place for bubble mailers, then went to Nijiya for various groceries.

I got back here, checked at the medical place for things but just got some packing foam, and called it a day.

  1. and Biden's giving a state of the union address. It's a rouser.
People criticize the guy, say he's old and senile yadda yadda. But he sounds all of 40, and this speech is a long one. He's handling hecklers, and well too. He's not just reading off of a script either, he's thinking on his feet. I'm impressed.

Dude, your susceptibility to being "roused" pushes the envelope of gullibility... You would have been a card carrying Nazi back in the day, I'm guessing. it would just depend upon where you were located and what the sheep around you were saying and doing; and there you would be. Replace zombie with Jew.
Not surprising that a boomer like yourself would have an anachronistic reverence for the "serious professional journalists" that PBS, NPR and about 72 other outlets all owned by a handful of globalists, gives you; (memo: this ain't Big Bird and Masterpiece Theater no more.)
72 separate media outlets (all owned b
Russell Brand did a montage of about 64 mainstream news anchors that had them each occupying their own window like the squares of a chess board; and when he hit play it was a group of 64 speaking in unison.
There was a time when Joe Biden had to withdraw from a presidential race in shame because he was caught bare ass lying (about his credentials). He was all of 40 then. Why is he still "here?" Apparently to be cheered for lying now..
They cheer the quality of the lies: "That's exactly what our people want to hear; doesn't matter if it's "true" or not; what's that word mean, anyways. A lot of people vote for the candidate whose lies are what they want to hear. They don't want fact checkers to break their stride.
I remember writing something once which provoked you to respond angrily with "You think the world owes you a living!"
I'm trying to guess which city will be the target if/when Putin goes nuclear.
I sympathize with the guy. All the neighborhoods in DC where rich military contractors live are adorned with the blue and yellow flag of corruption. One the other side of the river; in the poor minority areas; hard to find a single banner; almost as if they know their quality of life is being pillaged so as to ratchet up the misery to make way for the saving grace of "this new digital currency thing."
Nobody will be able to purchase the "1984" Orwell novel; and that will be that..yadda yadda yadda
I'm kinda walking on eggshells, being careful to not ridicule you over your mental decline (by the age of 60, most men's brains will have shrunken about 15%.
    Good luck, boomer
Why don't you track down those people who say Biden is old and senile and try to get them cancelled? Do something useful for The Party...
You didn't hear Joe mispronounce at least one word every couple sentences? And utter a few unintelligible sounds, here and there? Really?
Maybe when that "some Republican" rebutted the address, you truly went into some mental gymnastics whereby you really did hear only "yadda yadda yadda."
Has the bar been set so low that being able to speak off the cuff is impressive.
I get it; Trump was recklessly shooting his mouth off; Biden, thinking on his feet.

    There was a time when

Then of course some loony Republican lady spewed some blather that didn't touch on any of the points of the president's address. As is tradition.

Last night I got the Connstellation cornet out and put the screw for the 1st valve trigger back on, and installed new water key corks too. ...
